This list doesn&#8217;t include the many new graphic novels that we&#8217;ve recently added as part of our graphic novel collection enhancement, which you&#8217;ll hear more about soon.\u00a0 These are just a few of the scholarly books on comics, graphic novels, and media related to comics studies that have come in this year.<!--more--><\/p>\r\n<p>You&#8217;ll notice that several of these books address the presence or portrayal of women, queer, or Latinx characters or creators in comics.\u00a0 Part of our goal with many of our new acquisitions is to highlight some of these diverse perspectives in comics, just as we have with our <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.library.unt.edu\/comics\/2017\/12\/11\/a-briefish-history-of-comics-studies-unt-libraries\/\">programs and events<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>We hope to add more new titles on a range of subjects in the months to come, and we welcome your suggestions in the comment section below this post!\u00a0 Also, if you&#8217;ve read or used any of these books in your research or classes, let us know what you think of them.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>All of these\u00a0books are available through the UNT Libraries, and most are located either on the 3rd floor of Willis Library (in the main stacks) or electronically through the library catalog.
