{"id":29,"date":"2017-10-20T14:53:46","date_gmt":"2017-10-20T18:53:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.library.unt.edu\/comics\/?p=29"},"modified":"2018-02-09T15:23:06","modified_gmt":"2018-02-09T20:23:06","slug":"welcome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.library.unt.edu\/comics\/2017\/10\/20\/welcome\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to Comics Studies @UNT!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the brand new <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Comics Studies at UNT Blog.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0This blog is a project of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.library.unt.edu\/\">UNT Libraries<\/a>, and will include contributions from across the Libraries&#8217; divisions, as well as from faculty, students, and others in the UNT community who share an interest in comics studies.<\/p>\r\n<p>We include under &#8220;comics studies&#8221; the scholarly or critical examination of comic books, comic strips, graphic novels, cartoons, animation, films, and other forms of graphic narrative or sequential art. This examination may, but doesn&#8217;t <em>have to,\u00a0<\/em>conform to traditional modes of scholarly inquiry.
