FDLP is a national library consortium that archives, catalogs, and stores information for public use. GPO uses a separate system to organize these documents called the Superintendent of Documents Classification system, generally referred to as the\u00a0SuDoc. Like the Library of Congress,\u00a0GovPubs\u00a0covers a wide range of topics\u00a0such as\u00a0legal research, health, government and politics, financial assistance, agriculture, science &amp; technology, education, and much more. These documents can be accessed in various formats\u00a0including\u00a0print, electronic, monographs, serials, maps, CDs, DVDs, microfilm &amp; and microfiche. In the present-day, government documents are mostly published digitally and are archived through several resources like FDLP.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where can&nbsp;we&nbsp;find government documents?&nbsp;There are a few ways that&nbsp;we&nbsp;can access or request Government Documents for free.&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/metalib.gpo.gov\/V\/UU4CSAYRR4EJTQP6G9G4RC5V7TIVETCRAELG2URD5KIC7RPC93-20142?func=quick-1\" target=\"_blank\">Metalib<\/a>&nbsp;is a search engine&nbsp;that looks&nbsp;for&nbsp;articles, reports, and citations in&nbsp;various federal government databases. This website has an&nbsp;A-to-Z list of 72 resources available&nbsp;that cover a wide range of subjects. Another useful resource that is important for finding government documents is the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/catalog.gpo.gov\/F?RN=372158211\" target=\"_blank\">Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP)<\/a>; this website could help the user find government information, including the various formats available for public use.&nbsp;Furthermore, UNT holds access to electronic resources and information that are archived through multiple databases and can be searched by subject under \u201c<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/guides.library.unt.edu\/az.php?s=164192\" target=\"_blank\">Government Information<\/a>.\u201d Access to these documents and&nbsp;databases&nbsp;are readily available for UNT students. Another useful resource that\u2019s free for public use&nbsp;is&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/usgovernmentmanual.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">The United States Government Manual<\/a>.
