In his list of criticisms, he mentioned lack of current science problems and of career preparation in science courses.\r\n\r\nThe <a href=\"http:\/\/biology.unt.edu\/\">Biological Sciences Department<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.library.unt.edu\/\">Libraries<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unt.edu\/\">University of North Texas<\/a> have started to address those two deficiencies using online course guides hosted by the Libraries. The two introductory biology courses for science majors have extensive material on current science problems, either in the form of <a href=\"http:\/\/guides.library.unt.edu\/biol1710\/metabolism\">news articles<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/guides.library.unt.edu\/biol1710\/viruses\">videos<\/a>. The guides also include a section on <a href=\"http:\/\/guides.library.unt.edu\/biol1710\/careers\">Careers in the Biological Sciences<\/a> to introduce student to the variety of careers available.
